Qdos Consulting specialise in taxation, VAT, employment law, health and safety, training and legal fees insurance, with both a UK and overseas network of associates and clients. We enjoy a unique position within affinity groups due to the experience gained over 19 years, of providing the above services to numerous trade associations, federations and professional bodies.

We also fully understand the complexities of operating and managing affinity groups and furthermore, the pressures to increase subscriptions and improve membership benefits. By working in close partnership with you, Qdos can help to aid recruitment and retention by providing value added services to members

The prime directive of affinity groups differs widely, from lobbying parliament for legislation changes on behalf of member’s interests to the provision of technical development. We are therefore able to offer bespoke solutions to industry specific and sector specific affinity groups and members to suit their objectives.

We are proud of the fact that we currently provide our services to 35 Chambers of Commerce, which includes over 35,000 businesses throughout the UK. Qdos affinity group clients range from sporting federations, professional societies to national motoring associations, plus many others.

All of our services are provided in house by experts and are not contracted out to third parties as is common practice with other providers.

One of the jewels in the crown has to be our unique QED (Qdos Employer Defence) online service which provides advice, downloadable documentation and insurance cover in many areas of business compliance such as employment law, human resource and health & safety, supported by a 24 hour telephone advice line.

Further advantage of the QED online website is that it can be ‘white labeled’ to enhance your membership benefits and provide a marketing advantage. This will enable your members to access an uncomplicated and comprehensive website, providing information on employment and health & safety legislation, advice, topics and legislation updates. For a number of years we have provided a version of QED to the Chambers of Commerce, this unrivalled service is promoted as ChamberHR to its members. By working hand in hand with Qdos, the Chambers are able to utilize this service as a retention and recruitment tool. Tax Enquiry Insurance

This provides comprehensive cover for professional fees whatever the source of investigation is. The cover includes investigations into your members company or personal tax return and also includes a PAYE, NIC and VAT dispute which arises during the period of the insurance.

The policy will cover the fees of your member’s accountant (subject to satisfactory charge out rates) and/or Qdos specialist consultants.

HMRC have the power to open an enquiry into any tax return and no reason has to be given.

All of our specialists have years of experience and are recruited from a cross section of commerce, industry and professional sectors.

We also provide a tax/VAT helpline which proves very popular with affinity groups for both business and non business members.

The Qdos telephone advice team comprises ex-Revenue and Customs & Excise specialists who are experienced in handling all types of tax/VAT enquiries. The helpline has been in existence for many years and we currently supply advice to accountancy practices, numerous affinity groups and individual businesses.

This helpline is available from 8.30 to 17.30 Monday – Friday

We are able to supply the helplines on a compulsory basis at a very low unit cost depending on the number of members. Furthermore, it is possible to purchase any of the above elements on an individual basis i.e. legal helpline only
